I have been known to bite off more than I can chew. To take on ideas that are…less than reasonable. More often than not this comes at the expense of my own mental health. Lately I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that Monster of the Week was one of these unreasonable expectations. While the premise of writing about a new monster every week was compelling, it also proved impossible under the standards I sat for myself.
So, I’m rebranding.
Monster of the Week is now Monstrum Obscura.
The mission remains the same. To explore the strangest, most obscure encounters with monsters, aliens, and otherworldly entities. Only now, I’m not setting myself to a release schedule. You can still expect semi-regular updates. And this new, less restrictive timeline will allow me to take on deeper, more meaningful subjects, too.
Whether you’re a new subscriber or you’ve been with me since the beginning, thank you. More monsters are coming your way soon. In the meantime, let me know what cases you’d like to see me cover in the future.
Until then, watch the skies.

I can relate. Difficult to maintain a writing schedule with competing interests. Good luck with all your projects.
Love the new name. Looking forward to more stories
